JOHOR BARU: Sarawak's Jacqueline Jenelee Sijore added a fourth gold medal to her tally when she beat Negri Sembilan's Hurul Ainul Abu Razak in the step-ladder final to win the girls' Under-15 Masters title on the final day of the national schools (MSSM) bowling championships at the Daiman Bowl in Johor Jaya here last night.
Jacqueline, who won the individual, all-events and doubles partnering Syazwani Isa, won the match 403-349 (213-148, 190-201) and her victory enabled Sarawak to win the girls' Under-15 overall title.
“I would not have asked for anything better. I came here with a three-gold target but I am going back home with four. It has been fantastic outing for me,” said Jacqueline.
Selangor's Ili Syazana Jamal Azmi took the girls' Under-18 gold medal, coming back strongly to deny Perak's Syaidatul Afifah Badrul Hamidi with a 402-387 victory.
Ili lost the first game 190-210 but won the second at 212-177.
In the girls’ Under-12, Negri Sembilan's Puteri Nadia Kamarul Mahadir won the gold when she defeated Johor's Nur Irdeena Mohd Rafi 284-276.
